Exercising regularly not only strengthens your body, but is also a great way to reduce stress and boost productivity. The question now, of course, is how to pull oneself together.
We've put together three tips to help you trick yourself into wanting your next workout.
1. Get your workout session done in the morning
After a hard day's work, it's easy to postpone your training. That's why you should try to sweat it out first thing in the morning, even if it's only 15 minutes on the yoga mat. You are automatically much more motivated for your everyday life!
2. Set goals
If you notice that you've been on the treadmill a little longer than usual, that gives you an incentive to keep going. Therefore: set realistic goals and expand on them as soon as you achieve them.
3. It's also okay to do the bare minimum
Your workout doesn't have to be excruciating because you feel like you have to go through that lengthy, tiring workout to reach your goal. If you don't feel like it, you can just jump on the Concept2 bike for 15 minutes and that's it. That's enough for a better body feeling!
4. Invest in your training
You should feel good about your training. Wear workout clothes that you feel good in, that is, ditch that t-shirt that's already falling apart. Quality sports equipment is also part of a motivating investment. This will make your workout session something to look forward to.
5. Get company
Training with friends is not only more fun, you are also less likely to cancel if you have a fixed training date together. A nice little competition with a reward can also make the whole thing more exciting.
